The Red Eagles have enjoyed a great Champions League night at home with a 3-0 win over Coton Sport of Cameroon. 

Marcel Koller, Sayed Abdelhafiz and Yasser Ibrahim spoke after the match to discuss the importance of tonight's victory in the team's journey in the competition. 

Marcel Koller

"We deserved tonight's victory. The early goal made our mission easier and helped us achieve the result that we wanted. The team had a very good game despite suffering from injuries. We want to progress from the group and we will fight for that." 

Sayed Abdelhafiz

"It is an important win for the team. It was a difficult game because of our situation in the group but we achieved the three points and now we will focus on the second round of the group stage. Our last three successful campaigns in the CAF Champions League in 2013, 2020 and 2021 saw us suffering in the group stage. We will do everything to progress from the group." 

Yasser Ibrahim

"It is a very important win that will help us in the rest of the group stage. Our fans were amazing tonight and I would like to thank them for the amazing support. We had a good game and followed the coach's tactics throughout the game and we are happy with the big win."
